Okay...So About Last Night...

So last night kinda sucked. Those of you that were there will understand why and those of you that weren't there, sorry, I don't feel like reliving it here just yet.

But you know? I have the best friends. Everything was so screwy last night and they stood with me, made me laugh, handed me cigarettes, poured me wine, and took away my car keys. Those are some good friends. Friends that understood the power and need to just be really far away from reality but who loved me enough to hang out til 5 a.m. (okay, so not everyone lasted until 5 but you all managed to stay really, really late) and then took me to IHOP in the hopes that maybe I would sober up a lil bit and then offered me a place to stay so I didn't have to go home to my HOT AS HELL apartment with cat poop everywhere and then helped me get up this morning in order to make it to that dumbass meeting at work.

Holy crap that was a long sentence.

My point is this: there are days when life can seem really overwhelming. And then there are people like David, Ryan, Jed, and Jet who left the party to hang outside with me for HOURS simply because I didn't wanna have to deal with that one person who happened to show up. And Jason of Brigette was KICK ASS enough to understand what was going on - even though it wasn't obvious to many - that he brought a game outside so that we could play drunkenly in the dark. (Really fun game, by the way.)

I have a good life. I have wonderful friends who love me and accept me and do their damndest to protect me...albeit with a baseball bat...but it's protection nonetheless. So thank you to all of you who were there. And thank you for taking my keys. And thank you just for being you. I don't know what I'd do without you and I love you all for many, many reasons...but especially for last night.

Let's do this! LEEEEEEEEROY!!!!!!!!
