Today Was a Good Day

As was predicted, today was a good day.

My day started with me heading off for the rigors of "Global Politics". What in the world is global politics? Well, today I got to find out. Mostly it's economics. Which is cool because David turned me on to the Economist so I already knew a bunch of the material that the prof covered today. But the class is going to be totally awesome because we're also going to discuss sweatshops, terrorism, the rise of tyrannical leaders, etc. etc. etc. TOTALLY COOL. Oh, and we don't have to write a paper. :)

Next it was back home to nap because I had a few hours in between classes. I ended up NOT actually napping though, as Jet loaned me these really cool books that I've been reading nonstop. She loaned me three and I've now finished two and am about 1/3 of the way through the 3rd.

After my relaxation I headed off to Theories in Justice. Let me tell you, I was NOT looking forward to this class. I mean, I wasn't totally disgruntled about having to take it or anything but my other classes seemed so interesting that I figured this one would suck. I figured it would be just another criminal justice class. BOY WAS I WRONG!! For once in my life I didn't mind so much being so wrong! This class actually kicks all kinds of booty and it's all about justice - but only in the "let's discuss philosophical theories as to what justice is" kinda way. w00t!! And guess what? I don't have to write any papers in this class either! Double w00t!! w00t!!

After that class I had about an hour to waste before my next one so I found an empty table next to the fountain and read some more of Jet's cool book. Larry called to see if I wanted to have dinner Wednesday night so we set that up.

Next I went to Gender in Western Thought. HOLY CRAP. Now this is what college is all about. This class totally RAWKS. The room was filled with a bunch of feminist artists. (I found out on our smoke break why so many performing arts students are in this class. They need it to fulfill a history requirement. One of the guys asked me what my major was so I told him and his response was, "Oh. So you actually dig this stuff." That made me smile.) The prof is really cool and once again, NO PAPERS!!!

After all of this I headed over to David's house to catch up on some Battlestar Galactica. Holy cow, if you're not watching this show, you should be. It is such a great scifi adventure. Not quite in the same vein as Firefly or Farscape, but totally rockin' nonetheless.

Anywho, now I must sleep. But I would just like to reiterate, for the record, that TODAY WAS A GOOD DAY!!
