Cecilia Fire Thunder, the President of the Oglala Sioux in South Dakota said:
“I will personally establish a Planned Parenthood clinic on my own land which is within the boundaries of the Pine Ridge Reservation where the State of South Dakota has absolutely no jurisdiction.”

That's a nice theory and all, but SCOTUS ruled not too long ago that a tribe in Texas did not have the right to ignore the state ban on casinos.

Hey Serenity, I saw your post on Molly's Blog... Great post and wonderful answer that person gave... Have you heard whats going on in Missouri?? They are fixing to make it so that tax money NO longer funds birth control. Meaning if you are a poor woman or you have no health insurance, too bad, you can't get birth control from a clinic. He made a statement about single women and promescuity and that it is immoral to expect tax payers to support promescuity...
Ridiculous... I posted about it on my blog...

I hadn't heard about Missouri but someone mentioned something to me earlier today about how some stupid people are trying to restrict access to birth control.
It's time the government of this station stops trying to regulate the morality of its citizens. We are quite capable of making decisions for ourselves.
