What Kind of Food am I?

You Are Mexican Food

Spicy yet dependable.
You pull punches, but people still love you.

I don't even know what that means. What does it mean to "pull punches"?

I hate it when I can't sleep.

I think it means to surprise people

Y'know, there's this thing called "Google" for when you don't know stuff. It'll look it up for you and tell you what it means. Freaky, I know, but I swear to Joss it works.

"Pulling your punches" means you're not being entirely honest with people. It's comes from boxing; when you pull your punches, you're not hitting the other guy as hard as you can. I.e., you're faking it, for whatever reason.

So NOT pulling your punches means you're brutally honest with people. You tell it like it is. Most people say they want honesty, but what they really want is a softened version of the truth -- a pulled punch. So people who don't pull their punches are usually not very popular and tend to piss people off a lot.

Like a spicy enchilada, though, you manage to be painful yet tasty, which is why you can get away with pulling your punches and having people still like you.

(See how I brought it back to the Mexican food? And I didn't even mention that time you choked on cheese and puked in that Mexican restaurant.)
