Jack: I'm hungry.
Me: What are you hungry for?
Jack: Mac-n-cheese.
Me: Then go make yourself some mac-n-cheese.
Jack: I don't know how.
Me: Read the directions. They're on the box.
Jack: The directions are there for you to read. The women read the directions and make the food for the men.
Me: Have you met me?? Hi Jack. I'm Mom. It's nice to meet you. NOW GO FIX YOUR OWN DAMN MAC-N-CHEESE.
(Needless to say, no one got mac-n-cheese that night.)

He's just having trouble adjusting to the move. In Texas it's actually the Mexicans who make the mac-n-cheese for the white people.
