Samantha Power & Barack Obama

One of the people that I have a great deal of respect and admiration for, Samantha Power, believes that Obama can get the job done. She is one of the foremost human rights experts in the United States and her coverage of the Rwandan genocide, Darfur, and other crisis around the globe have inspired me and helped immeasurably in my own human rights research.

Here is a memo she wrote in August 2003 to "interested parties" that outlines several of Obama's foreign policy ideas and decisions that they hoped would "tie together ... a coherent campaign policy."

If I had known before today that she was backing Obama my decision on who to vote for in November would have been made a long time ago.
