So Anthony went and got all engagefied on Saturday night. He and Heather have set the date for next January.

It was all very romantic and well planned and Anthony did a great job. And I'm still not sure if Heather ever actually said yes but I do know that she called him an asshole several times. Ah, sweet sweet love.

Of course, when friends get married it gets people to thinking about engagements, weddings, rings, etc. What are your thoughts? How do you feel about the traditional wedding and so forth?

Wow! Congratulations to Anthony and Heather!

I'm not a religious person, so being married in a church seems a bit wrong to me. And big weddings always seem to be more about the event itself instead of about the couple.

I think if I ever get married, it'll be as low stress as possible. Maybe on the beach, or in vegas, or something unconventional. And not with a lot of people there. Probably just a close group of friends and family.

Then again, from what I've seen in the movies, the guy doesn't get much say in these things, so I suspect I'd just shut up and go along with whatever.

Oh. And that was me.

I had a fancy plan for the proposal, and it came off perfectly. The wedding . . . we would've liked something fancy, but didn't have the option. The company we were at was going to go under at any moment, so we couldn't plan. Finally we put a wedding together on less than 30 days notice. I was very happy with it.

First of all, big congrats to Anthony and Heather.
The lucky assholes.

Second, about marriage...
I think it sucks balls that I can't have a legal marriage that is recognized and protected by law in all 50 states.
That's what I think. >:/

Ryan: I agree. Low stress is the way to go.

Karl: Great pictures! It's great that you were truly able to make that day your own.

Becky: I don't know but it isn't right. People can be so small minded that it's disgusting. Like you marrying someone would somehow make the earth spin off its axis. Whatever. People are stupid. But if you ever are able to get married my dad's a preacher and I'm sure he'd be more than happy to officiate.

Here's my thoughts about marriage.

Take notes. This is important. You will be tested on this later.

Seriously. Don't get married. Ever. I don't care who you are. Just live together. Trust me, the tax break isn't worth the assloads of money, time, and heartache it'll take when you get divorced.

Just don't. Don't. Fucking. Do it.

That's all I have to say about that.
