I think your roommate was trying to state the virtues of tact and subtlety. Unfortunately, she was far too subtle.
Yeah, I agree. Only she was saying that O'Connor had no right to rip up that photo of the pope because it was not politically correct. My response to that was, "Well, Roommate, not everyone wants to be politically correct." She told me that was ridiculous because OF COURSE everyone should want to be politically correct.
ah. i hereby rescind my halfhearted defense of roommate-isms, and let the formerly issued retard verdict stand.
