Dear Self,

I hope this note finds you well. In the interest of saving time, I will get right to the point.

First, I say curses upon you and yours for all of eternity for not stopping me from typing "due Thursday" instead of "due Tuesday" on those Civil Rights notes last week. Because you see, dear Holly, I now have 17 1/2 hours to write two very involved papers when you PROMISED me 65 1/2 more hours!

Second, I would like you to know that I would have typed you this earlier but I couldn't because the internet is down at Waterview once again. They're "working on some issues." During finals. When your profs and classmates communicate with you via the internet. The internet is down. AGAIN. Remind yourself why in the world you would sign another year's lease??

Third, I think this whole finals week thing is bogus. Monday = Constitutional Law final. Tuesday = (apparently) two Civil Rights papers due. Wednesday = Algebra final. Thursday = Research final (AT EIGHT A.M.!) and a Latin America paper due. Friday = Courts final. Seriously, what were you thinking? Are you insane? Might want to consider lowering that class load next semester. Just sayin'...

And lastly, let go of the fact that you totally blanked on the definitions for negative interstate commerce and the Cooley Doctrine and thank your lucky stars you had the foresight to have that email conversation with David this morning about how reinforcing personal property rights can be a strike against states rights. Also, don't forget to kiss Jenn for running into you before your test to tell you that the Civil Rights papers are due TOMORROW not THURSDAY. Dumb ass.

Sincerely,
Your highly irritated self

Stupid trixy professors with their evil paper-assigning ways...

Anyway, drinking on Friday might just be in order. If I'm still alive, that is.

My brain is sore.
