Dream

Last night I had a dream where men ruled the world. Women were not considered people. Everywhere I went I saw "Men Only" signs - bathrooms, stores, water fountains, parks, churches, houses. I feared for my safety because it was dark outside and I knew if any men saw me I could be lynched. There were no children. There were no differences in skin color. A haircut for a man was $25 and women were not allowed to cut their hair.

The dream wasn't particularly scary because it all seemed very normal. And while I was afraid to be caught out in the open after dark, I had been doing it for so many years that I knew how to stay mostly hidden.
