America's Next Top Model

Apparently, on America's Next Top Model, it's okay to say that women who die due to unnatural and violent means are HAWT.

Click here to see the ten photos of the "Crime Scene Victims" spread. It's pretty disgusting.

I'm having a lot of difficulty being offended by this. I'm more likely to be offended by pictures of realestate agents, especially if they have their entire disgusting families around them.

Well, to be honest, I'm not particularly offended by the pictures. I think they are artsy and are a freedom of expression guaranteed by the First Amendment. My problem is with the cavalier attitude of the conversations that the judges are having. I don't watch this show so I don't know if the words next to the pictures are what the judges actually said or if they're being presented in the correct context. But if they are being presented in an accurate context, then the judges are really fucked up.

Ive watched a few seasons, but havent watched these and yes, that is exactly what they would say in that context...

the pictures arent so offensive, but the idea to make this kind of stuff "fashionable" is - I mean, I dont really see a point to them... last season, they did this type of thing with stereotypes of models "purging food, eating disorders, etc" and I thought they were trying to convey a message with that, but I dont see the point of "exploiting death as fashion"
