Don't prostitute out your well-being

Today I was reading Addie's blog and she was talking about Hosea, a book in the old testament of the bible. While drawing very interesting parallels between Hosea's love for his ex-prostitute wife and God's love for his children, she made a very profound statement:

"When will we, as women, stop prostituting our emotional well-being out? When will we start promoting that message to our daughters? As a mother, I hope to convey this message to my daughter. I also hope to convey the message to my son that a woman is not a possession, that she deserves love and that he, as a man, deserves love too..."
