Not that Hilton is in any way a sensible human being, but I think America's view of the war was headed downhill before Moore and just continued afterward. I wouldn't exactly credit him with changing the nation's mind. He certainly re-inforced the mindset of the folks who already opposed it, but he's not exactly a holy figure.

Frankly, I think the biggest booster of the anti-war movement has been GWB.

Lost in the post is the opinion that the movie that is credited with changing America's view on the war is also the same movie that is often quoted as a galvanizing force for the Republicans in the 2004 election.
