I Don't Get It

I'm laying in my dining room watching The West Wing. Ashley came home from work and turned on the tv in the living room and I didn't turn off my tv. She watched hers for about 30ish minutes and then went to her room. I feel bad for not turning mine off and I don't get it. Why would that make me feel bad?
